No…not that kind of quickie. But there’s always time to fit in a fast workout. The workout below is complements of Men’s Health Magazine and Mr. Muscles himself, Mario Lopez (most of you remember him as AC Slater). It’s a great workout to do anywhere because it doesn’t take long and it requires zero equipment, which means zero excuses!
The example of the workout below is just a starting point for a customized on the go workout of your own. Feel free to substitute in exercises like mountain climbers, ice skaters or crunches. Just make sure you’re keeping your heart rate up!
This workout is a circuit and you’re going to do 10 reps of each exercise, then 9 reps, then 8, 7 down to 1 rep. If you’re feeling particularly ambitious after working your way down the circuit, work your way back up, i.e. start from 1 rep and go back up to 10 reps of each exercise.
The AC Slater Quickie Workout
Front Lunges (both legs)
Burpees (if you don’t know what this is, click here!)
Side Lunges (both legs)
So for this workout you’d do 10 front lunges on each leg, then 10 burpees, 10 pushups, 10 jump squats, 10 side lunges on each leg. Then go back to the beginning and do 9 front lunges, 9 burpees, 9 pushups…you get the idea. Make sure you move from one exercise to the next with no rest to keep your heart pumpin’!
