It’s Friday and that means it’s time for some link love.
This week it’s the oatmeal edition. I love oatmeal and I hope you do too! I wasn’t a fan until a few years ago when I realized it’s full potential. First off, It’s a veritable power food full of fiber. Eating it in the morning always gives me the energy that I need to get through the day. Second, if you think oatmeal is boring, think again. The options are endless when it comes to oatmeal because because you can add anything to it to make it your own and it’s great for lunch breakfast or dinner.
If you love oatmeal (or just looking at it), check out some great recipes and photos over at Kath Eats Real Food. There are even some savory recipes included, proving that oatmeal is good for any meal.
It’s like a sleepover…but with oatmeal. I was a bit skeptical of overnight oats at first, but Angela Liddon from Oh She Glows had too many great recipes to resist. Trust me, one soiree with overnight oats and you’ll be hooked!
Cherries are in season and oatmeal is always in season. The New York Times posted a delicious recipe for a quick, summery breakfast this week.
Although this has nothing to do with the food or fitness, learn some fun facts about cats and get a laugh from The Oatmeal. (See how I did that?! I tied it up in a pretty bow and related it back to the main topic 🙂 )
Have a great weekend!
