Boston Part II

Here’s part two of my trip to Boston!

When I last left you, I was checking out the Harvard Campus and meeting up with college friends.

The next day I started off the day with a quick run. It was AMAZING to trade in the hills of San Francisco for the flats of Boston. Here are a few sights from my run-

The odd couple of Beacon Hill

This sign on the Charles holds a special place in my heart-it signified 750 meters to the finish line for crew races. It’s funny to see it from the shore. And no, I don’t know that man.

The Charles in the morning sun.

After my run, we decided to  fit in a bit more sight seeing and visited the downtown farmer’s market, for a cookie as big as my head-

No words.

and then to Sam Adams.

The great thing about the Sam Adams factory tour and tasting is that it’s free! We learned all about the beer making process and even tasted three types of beer. Even though I don’t like beer, I hung in there and at least took a sip of every one-

Hooray beer?

(and told the tour guide I didn’t like beer-whoops!)

It was also our fearless leader’s last tour ever, so all of the employees got together to give her a celebratory toast/chug.

That’s a pretty good last tour.

After the beer tour, we took in a few more Boston sights and sounds (like FREE Donut Day?!)

We don’t have Dunkin on the West Coast, so we were more than excited to find out that we got a free donut with our iced coffees.

and then it was off to the small town of Natick to start my sister’s high school graduation celebrations. As you might have read before, my sister is a serious ballerina, so she goes to an arts boarding school called Walnut Hill School of the Arts. My sister gave us a quick tour of some of the student murals-

The next day, it was time for the graduate to graduate-

Congratulations graduate!

And fill the rest of our time with family, fun and lots of photos (don’t worry, I won’t show you all of them, but here are a few gems)

By far the creepiest graduation picture taken.

Pat even got to meet April from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. She went to my sister’s high school and gave a really great speech.

Pat was more than excited to meet her.

All in all a great trip to Boston! I’ll be back soon Beantown, so watch out!

Have a great weekend everyone!
