It’s time for another installment of “Ask a Blogger”!
This week we’re getting up close and personal with Kelly, from Meals for Miles. Kelly started Meals for Miles almost two years ago as a way to document her adventures on the roads and in the kitchen. She is currently working on getting her Master’s in nutrition and in her free time enjoys running, cooking, baking and taking in all that New York City has to offer.
Cool fact: Kelly has a fraternal twin sister!
So now that you know a little bit about Kelly, here’s a little bit more about what keeps Kelly -and her blog-running.

If you had to describe your blog in 5 words or less, how would you do it?
Honest, delicious, and full of running-related fun
What are the best and worst (if any) things about being a blogger?
The best part about being a blogger is all of the great people I’ve met! I never thought I’d “meet” anyone when I started, I just wanted an outlet to talk about my favorite things. But blogging was a great way to meet other crazy runners and foodies out there! I can’t really think of any “bad” thing about blogging.
Any advice to those who want to start their own blog?
Just be honest and write about things you’re passionate about. Remember that it’s YOUR blog, and it’s your personal outlet to talk about whatever you want. But on that note, never write about something you wouldn’t want the public to see, because they just might.
Do you have a mantra? This could be anything from a mantra that gets you through tough workouts to a mantra that gets you through tough life situations.
“No Guts no Glory, End of Story” – pretty relevant for a lot of different life situations!
What’s one food that you couldn’t live without? This is a tough one – a tie between Greek yogurt and peanut butter
What’s your favorite way to break a sweat?
Running! There’s nothing like an early morning run on the bridle path in Central Park
Favorite song to work out to? Lady Gaga – The Edge of Glory
Any weird pre-race superstitions?
For longer races, I have to use the portapotty at least twice. So I basically just get in line, go, get in line…etc. It’s weird.
